The Kazakh government has increased the oil export customs duty from $109.01 a tonne to $203.8.

 

The duty was increased from $27.43 a tonne to $121.32 for oil companies which pay the tax on oil and gas condensate exports. This duty was increased for exports of heavy distillates, coke and bitumen to $112.5 a tonne from $82.2.

 

The new rates of the duty will come into force after 30 days of the first official publication of the government resolution into this effect, which was on 11 September.
