Tengizchevroil produced 8.8m tonnes of oil in
the first half of 2008 against 6.72m tonnes in the same period of 2007.
The enterprise shipped almost all of its
oil to exports, including 6.7m tonnes through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium
pipeline, which links the company’s Tengiz field with the Russian Black Sea
port of
Novorossiysk.
Tengizchevroil also produced 431,000 tonnes
of liquefied gas and sold 1.1bn cu. m. of dry gas in January-June 2008.
After the scheduled expansion, its output reached
540,000 barrels of oil per day and 22m cu. m. of gas per day.
It develops the major Tengiz and
Korolevskoye fields whose reserves are estimated at 3bn and 190m tonnes (26bn
and 1.5bn barrels) respectively.
