Tengizchevroil produced 8.8m tonnes of oil in the first half of 2008 against 6.72m tonnes in the same period of 2007.

The enterprise shipped almost all of its oil to exports, including 6.7m tonnes through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium pipeline, which links the company’s Tengiz field with the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.

Tengizchevroil also produced 431,000 tonnes of liquefied gas and sold 1.1bn cu. m. of dry gas in January-June 2008.

After the scheduled expansion, its output reached 540,000 barrels of oil per day and 22m cu. m. of gas per day.

It develops the major Tengiz and Korolevskoye fields whose reserves are estimated at 3bn and 190m tonnes (26bn and 1.5bn barrels) respectively.
